Barnsley Rockley Rotary Club was founded in 1976 and now meets fortnightly at Barnsley Metrodome, Queens Road, Barnsley. We meet at 6pm and start with a quality 2 course meal at a low price. After our meal we discuss our program of activities and information from other local Rotary Clubs who we try to support. Our aim is to have a relaxed evening of conversation, fellowship and sharing information about our program of events. We could describe our meetings as informal with a simple structure while retaining some traditional Rotary aspects e.g. we like to have a toast at the end of our meetings ‘Rotary & Peace the World Over’.

We exist to help others for example:

We run a Barnsley Schools Children’s Art Competition

We help marshal the annual Barnsley Boundary Race

We support the eradication of Polio, an International Rotary objective

We support local people with disabilities including Rotary District Games

We are part of a worldwide organisation: around 1 million men &women, 28K Clubs in 150 countries. Each ‘Rotarian’ will be welcomed at any Rotary Club in any part of the world.

We are a member or Rotary District 1220 which has clubs in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
